Bookcase with compartments
Twelve compartments in old oak
Compartments, shelves, low cupboards: an old oak bookcase, designed for a wall, a corner or an alcove in your home.
A made-to-measure bookcase is designed for a wall: the ceiling height, the available width, the corner of a living room, the alcove of a bedroom or the wall of an office. In our workshop in Eygalières we make bookcases in solid wood, old oak, rustic oak or railway wagon flooring: bookcases with compartments, open shelves, wall bookcases with low cupboards.
Old oak gives the bookcase its character: thick boards, knots, cracks, the patina left by time. Nothing is smoothed away. The uprights, shelves and backs are assembled by hand in our workshop, and the finish is chosen with you: raw, patinated, oiled or waxed.
Open compartments for books, objects and baskets, or closed low cupboards for storage: the number of compartments, the dimensions and the storage are defined with you, as for any made-to-measure storage furniture.

Twelve square compartments in old oak, for books, objects and baskets: a light bookcase placed against a living room wall.
Open shelves above and low cupboards in rustic oak boards: books on display up high, the rest stored below.
A free-standing oak shelf unit with compartments that dresses a wall without overloading it.
A compartment cabinet in old wagon-floor oak: reclaimed boards that keep the traces of their first life.
The dimensions of the wall (height, width, depth), the number and size of the compartments, open or closed, the species of wood and the finish: we start from your measurements and your books, then we make the bookcase in our workshop in Provence.
Yes. Every bookcase is made to the dimensions of your wall in our workshop in Eygalières: height, width, depth of the shelves, number of compartments, species and finish are chosen with you.
Old oak, rustic oak or railway wagon flooring. Oak is a dense, sturdy wood that suits shelves loaded with books; old oak also keeps its knots, cracks and patina.
Yes, that is the principle of made-to-measure: the bookcase is designed for the available space, a whole wall, a corner, an alcove or the back of a room. Give us the measurements and a few photos of the place.
The bookcase with compartments, fully open, shows off books and objects. The bookcase with low cupboards adds closed storage for what you do not want to show. The two can be combined on the same wall.
Yes, all our pieces can be reproduced and adapted to your room: dimensions, number of compartments, species and finish.
Contact us with the dimensions of the wall and a few photos of the place, or visit the workshop in Eygalières by appointment. We go over the dimensions, the wood and the finish with you, then come back to you with a proposal.
Height, width, compartments, species: we design the bookcase with you.
